TORONTO'S SASSY SENIORS.
Five years ago I decided to take a break from nursing to raise my kids. This was one of the hardest decisions I have ever made. I loved my nursing career and I knew I had to pursue being an artist/photographer; however, my little Lizzie was born 3 months early and she needed me more than I needed a career. I have never regretted my decision to stay home. It has been a journey of a lot of ups and downs. Working with Haircuts on Wheels on these last two photo shoots has allowed me to bridge two things that I love: photography and Toronto's sassy seniors. One of the things that I love most about nursing is connecting with people--listening to their stories, holding their hands, making them feel special for a little bit. These are some of the same things that I love about portrait photography. This photo shoot has brought a lot of smiles to a lot of people, especially me!
